MANILA, Philippines - Despite going through a high-profile breakup last year, KC Concepcion has never lost faith in love and has even prayed for the next man she can call her prince.
The TV host-actress confessed to "The Buzz," Nov. 25, how she fervently prayed for that for "seven days straight" back in "December or January." She noted, "When you want to ask God for something, you pray about it and you [should] be specific, and you believe in our heart na it's as if binigay na 'yon sa'yo."
Her dedicated supplications had even gone as far as KC writing down "on post-it notes lahat ng gusto ko sa isang lalaki." She would then paste these notes on her bed's headboard. And voila, "Binigay talaga ni God 'yung lahat ng nasa post-it na 'yon. Until the very last detail..."
Well, could Pierre Emmanuel Plassart, her French businessman suitor, be her answered prayer?
"We'll see" is all KC could offer for now.
"Mas creative ako kapag wala akong ibang iniisip so honestly right now kaya rin ako hindi masyadong open to say that, ganito, or serious [na 'yung relationship], I want to still explore kung ano 'yung mangyayari pa habang eto ako ngayon, [na] independent girl 'yung mode ko," she explained.
In spite of enjoying her single status, KC appreciates that Pierre "is not giving up"-something that she considers the "best thing" he has done (and continues to do) for her.
Pierre is "very kind," "totoong tao," and "napaka-sincere," she gushed.
With all the guys she had already met, KC has learned to discern the "true gentleman" among the lot.
"Simula nung baby talaga [si Pierre], hanggang nung lumaki, hanggang ngayon na na-meet ko siya, ito 'yung masasabi kong tunay. It's the real thing. He's a true gentleman. 'Yun [ang] hindi mo ever mabibili or mababayaran," she said.The Kapamilya star is both grateful and happy for all the blessings in her life now.
"Everything really happens for a reason. You hear it so much but I really believe that. So lahat ng nangyayari ngayon, ang ganda... Masarap 'yung pakiramdam ko although siyempre hindi mawawala 'yung mga bashers. [Pero] nade-dedma ko na rin kasi sa lahat ng pinagdaanan ko from last year, parang feeling ko kahit anong mangyari okay na.
"Thankful ako kay God na binigay Niya sa'kin 'yung patience at 'yung grace para harapin ko lahat 'yon," she related.
