9. Rizzini Alexis Gomez (Cordova City, Cebu)

MANILA, Philippines--Newly crowned Miss Tourism International Rizzini Alexis Gomez has not expressed interest in entering show business but would rather continue her studies by taking up Law.
The 22-year-old Cebuana who bested 54 other candidates in the tilt held early this week in Petaling Jaya near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is already a Registered Nurse.
In an interview with "24 Oras," Gomez expressed her happiness over the support she got from her kababayans in Malaysia during the pageant.

"Marami pong mga Pinoy dito so they have watched the pageant last night and nandito po ngayon 'yung kapatid ko," said she who is the first Pinay to win the top title in the tilt after Maria Esperanza Manzano in 2000.
Gomez is not new to joining beauty contests. Before becoming the 2012 Mutya ng Pilipinas Tourism winner, she was a candidate in the Miss World Philippines.
A Cum Laude Nursing graduate of University of Cebu, Gomez plans to hear mass at Sto. Niño Church in Cebu when she returns home tomorrow, Jan 3.
But naturally, her father, Rowell Gomez, a former Team Alaska shooter, is proud of her accomplishment.
"Itong nangyaring ito ang pinaka malaking blessing sa amin at sa anak ko na mula sa itaas," he said in Cebuano in a separate interview.
Gomez's triumph comes on the heels of Filipina Janine Tugonon's triumph at the Miss Universe two weeks ago where the latter placed first runner-up.
Other winners at the Miss Tourism International were Marielis Alejandra Castellanos Perez from Venezuela (runner-up and Miss Tourism Global); Monika Rodulovic of Australia (Miss Tourism Metropolitan International); Lourdes Maria Del Carmen Motta Rolon of Paraguay (Miss Tourism Cosmopolitan International); and Jun Yong Wan Jun of Malaysia (Dreamgirl of the Year).
One of many Filipina beauty titlists who entered showbiz after winning in a prestigious pageant abroad is Maria Venus Raj who placed fourth runner-up in the Miss Universe 2010.
