At 4, Alex Jazz, Jennylyn Mercado’s son with actor Patrick Garcia, may be too young to care that his mom has just appeared in a sizzling new cover for FHM Magazine.

But Jennylyn has figured out what to tell her son when he’s older and stumbles upon her sexy cover photo.
“Siguro sasabihin ko na lang sa kanya, ‘Kailangan hindi mo pabayaan ang sarili mo especially pag tumatanda ka na. Kailangan pa rin nating maging fit. Tignan mo si mommy, nakakapagcover pa rin, may baby na.’ Ha ha!”
It is Jennylyn’s third cover for FHM and her most provocative yet.
Jennylyn first graced the cover of the men’s magazine in January 2008 and then again on November 2009.
This time, she shows more skin. “Now I can say na parang medyo fit na naman ako at naalagaan ko naman ang body ko, so I guess heto na yung tamang oras para mai-share ko naman sa mga tao. Ha ha!”
She didn’t hesitate accepting the cover offer, either.
“Basta observed pa rin yung limitations ko. Kasi lalo na ngayon may baby na ako. Maganda naman yung kinalabasan. I’m so happy,” Jennylyn tells FHM.
The importance of family
The first time she posed for the magazine in 2008, Jennylyn admitted to FHM that she kept changing her mind until a few days before the shoot. “I didn’t want to do something I wasn’t willing to do, kaya hinintay pa talaga namin na maging ready na talaga ako,” she said then of her indecision.
A lot of heartaches later (she split with Patrick Garcia and had an allegedly abusive relationship with actor Dennis Trillo), Jennylyn has found happiness anew with current boyfriend Luis Manzano.
Of her personal and professional journey since she first joined GMA Network’s reality talent competition “StarStruck” as a 16-year-old, Jennylyn said: “[I’ve learned to] always keep your friends and of course, your family. Kasi kahit na ano’ng mangyari, kahit iwan ka ng lahat ng tao, yung mga taong malalapit sa’yo, yung mga taong mahal mo, especially your family and friends even before you were in showbiz, they will never leave you. Sila yung parating nandyan para sa’yo, tutulungan ka nila, mamahalin ka nila, and hindi ka talaga nila iiwan.”
